France is a popular country and is a bucket-list travel goal for many people, especially Paris, the city of love.

Including myself, there is an empty checked box next to “visit France” that I oh so desperately want to cross off.

France is home to fine desserts, exquisite bread and oh yeah, floating movie theaters apparently and no, you did not read that wrong.

Similar to drive-in movie theaters here in the United States, France is opening a floating cinema movie theater!

How cool would it be, to watch a film while floating in the water with friends and family?

Consider adding Paris Plages on your travel wishlist.

Paris Plages is an annual event in which temporary beaches are created along the Seine and the Bassin de la Villette in Paris, France.

In celebration of movie theaters re-opening in France, the cinema chain Mk2 has collaborated with Häagen-Dazs, to create a movie theater on the water with seating arrangements that include electric boats.

Also known as “Cinéma sur l’Eau”, which means “cinema on the water” will be held on July 18th and I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet.

Aside from floating on the water and watching a film on the big screen in an electric boat, 150 Parisians have the chance to experience this celebration by entering to win free raffle tickets!

Local individuals can enter up until July 15th.

The movie “Le Grand Bain”, will be show at 7:30 pm and another 150 individuals will be able to watch the movie as well in deck chairs.

According to a press release from the PR Shark Agency, each electric boat can seat up to 4 to 6 individuals and social distancing measures will be taken place.

Oh do I wish I lived in Paris, France!
