I bet you didn’t know that there are so many different uses for a pool noodle that don’t include floating in a pool.

Oh, don’t get me wrong. They are AWESOME for their actual intended use in the swimming pool.

But, why stop there? If these little foam noodles can multitask, I’m going to let them!

After all, you can pick them up by the armful at The Dollar Tree for super cheap. Use the heck out of them, I say!

5 Hacks For Pool Noodles

DIY Sprinkler — I absolutely adore this idea. We found this hack from Grace Sharer on TikTok.

The concept is simple, really. You just close up one end of the pool noodle — use heavy duty tape. Then you stab the crap out of the noodle, along the length in a line. Shove a garden hose in the open end of the pool noodle, and turn on the water. Instant sprinkler!

Toddler Bumper — I wish I would have found out about this hack when my kiddos were little!

This hack comes from Chelsea on TikTok. If your kid currently sleeps in a toddler bed, this one’s for you. Take a pool noodle, and cut it to the length of the bed. Shove the pool noodle under the sheet, and create a bumper so the kid can’t roll out of the bed. Genius, right?!?

Baby Proofing Doors So They Don’t Slam — This concept really isn’t new, but I haven’t seen it done before with a pool noodle. What an idea!

This hack comes to us from Lisa Flom on TikTok. She takes a pool noodle, and cuts it into about a one-foot piece. Then she opens it by cutting down the length of it with a knife. Next, she puts the pool noodle piece on the corner of her door, preventing it from slamming closed and waking up her littles.

Bunk Bed Ladder Rung Cover — This helps give a buffer for those little feet climbing the ladder on their bunk beds.

The idea comes from Chelsey on TikTok. You take a pool noodle, and cut it into the length of the rungs on the ladder. Then you split open each pool noodle piece with a knife. Open up the pool noodle pieces, and wrap them around the rungs on the ladder. Now, be careful with this one. I wouldn’t want the pool noodle pieces to roll, and your little to fall off the ladder!

Endless Bath Time Fun — This one is a no-brainer — but I didn’t think of it. LOL!! This hack comes to us from The Hand-On Family on TikTok. They simply took a handful of pool noodles, and cut them into rings. It looks like they are about 3 inches long. Then, they throw all the rings in the bathtub with their kids. The kiddos use them for different activities — like building and stringing necklaces. So simple, but so smart, right?!?
