“Thrifted Ghost Painting” Is The Hottest New Trend for Halloween and Count Me In

When it comes to trends, TikTok isn’t shy, especially during Halloween.

Even though it’s only the middle of July, there’s a new Halloween trend on the social media platform that’s making TikTok history.

What’s dubbed the “Thrifted Ghost Painting” trend, viral videos have been uploaded to TikTok that show a new trend for this year’s spooky season.

Although, this isn’t the first time TikTok has used ghosts as a way to celebrate the Halloween season.

Just a couple years back, social media users were dressing up as ghosts paired with sunglasses for a photoshoot trend and now, TikTokers are thrifting old paintings and adding their own Halloween twist to it!

The new trend is simple.

The goal, is to thrift an old piece of art and paint ghosts over top of that painting when you get home.

You can choose to paint your ghosts flying through the sky or eating popcorn at a drive-in movie theatre, the creativity is completely up to you!

One TikToker @nicolembaldassarre, decided to draw their ghost fishing by a lake while another, painted a ghost floating nearby a window that’s decorated with fall flowers!

Your end result should include a brand new painting!

Not to mention it’s also the perfect piece of art to hang in your home to decorate for the Halloween season.
