Turns Out, Strong Mothers Raise Strong Women
If you’ve looked at your Mom and thought, “Wow, she is a strong woman!”. You could probably look in the mirror and say the same thing.
Strong mothers pass down strength to their daughters.
They can meet the world without breaking.
It doesn’t mean Mom can keep all the bad things away, but she can teach her daughter to face them head-on.
Strong mothers teach adaptability.
The world is changing and is a different place for each daughter we raise.
With a view on the long game, we can teach flexibility and cultivate balance and peace for our family.
We can teach our daughters to adapt to survive.
Strong mothers teach grit! There is a saying “Tough times don’t last, tough people do.”
Mothers are the ones you can count on to carry whatever life throws at them.
We pass this down to our daughters who weather through whatever storm life brings them, without breaking. They take care of their families and then go out in the world and start businesses, run for office and coach a sport!
Strong mothers teach their daughters how to be generous.
They are generous with their time, giving whatever their child needs while sacrificing showers and eating when necessary.
They teach their daughters to give to family and friends without thinking of receiving in return.
Especially sleeping I think – yes, we sacrifice that most of all.
Hopefully, you grew up with an amazing strong Mom.
I did not, but I became one.
I found women that inspired me and even at my “older” age I still find mentors and inspiration!
Look around and find a strong woman – they are all around – and watch what they do. Then go be the strong woman for your daughter!
