We used to own a VW bus, and it was the COOLEST. It was bright orange and had no air conditioning, but it was the envy of EVERYONE!

Life’s a trip with the iconic groovy style of the Rollplay 6-Volt Volkswagen Bus. This battery-powered ride-on looks just like the real thing, right down to the silver VW emblems, bright exterior, and shiny rear-view mirrors.

This bus is so rad!! The front doors open and latch shut just like the real thing.

It has working headlights, a horn that works, and it makes engine sounds as your child drives around.

Get this, you can even plug an MP3 player into the dash, and it’s like they are listening to the radio while they scoot around your driveway.

The VW bus tops out at 2.5 miles per hour, and can go both forwards and in reverse.

The dashboard houses a battery life indicator, so you’ll always know when it’s time to plug in your ride-on’s battery.

I just love the details of this bus! There is even a cup holder!! How freakin’ cool is that?!?

Now, this bus is for ages 3 and up, and has a weight limit of 77 pounds — so mom and dad don’t get to ride along.

We have had this three years. I was concerned that we’d be charging it all the time, but it chugs along for a long time before it starts to get sluggish. And, it charges right up in a couple of hours on the charger, which can be stored under the seat next to the battery. I also wondered how long it would hold up, being near the lower end of the price range for powered ride on toys. But, it starts right up every time, and all the moving parts still work perfectly. Pretty impressive for the price.

This VW Ride-On Bus runs $207, and would make the most PERFECT holiday gift for any youngster.

It comes in both Pink and Red — but I have to say that the pink is just a bit more groovy IMHO.

You can get your own VW Ride-On Bus on the Home Depot website.
