Finding a good job that doesn’t crush your soul on a daily basis is pretty hard.

But, finding a job that pays you well AND you enjoy is but a pipe dream to many.

I personally LOVE what I do, but I know that’s not the story for everyone.

Trust me. I’ve had some pretty soul-crushing jobs, and I’ve even gone back to school to try and get out from under those jobs.

You may want to get a pen and write these down.

Some of these are steady, well paying jobs, while some of them totally depend on YOU, and how hard you work.

It might just be time to make a career move in your near future!!

Now, I didn’t just pull these at random out of my brain. LinkedIn actually surveyed more than 32,000 U.S. workers from June to September, and this is what they came up with.

Product management: 62% of people were happy with their salary.

I know, there are so many facets to being a product manager. Basically, they pay attention to the customer needs of a business. They then rally a team of people to see their vision and follow through with completed projects.

Engineering: 60% of people were satisfied with their compensation.

You couldn’t pay me enough to be an engineer, but there are some people out there who love it.

Engineers are the ones who plan the machinery, build the skyscrapers and bridges, oversee projects of that sort. Basically, they use science and math to get things done.

Real Estate: 59% of people think their work meets their pay expectations.

Now, obviously, a real estate agent is in the business of selling houses. This is one of those jobs where the pay totally depends on your hustle. They get paid per house that they sell.

Consulting: 57% of consultants are pleased with their pay.

So, there are so many different things that consultants can do. They use their expertise to teach others to troubleshoot problems and learn new things.

Human Resources: 56% of workers think the job meets the pay.

A person in human resources is in charge of an employee’s work life. They do the hiring, they make sure company policies are adhered to, they do the training, they do the recruiting, and oftentimes they do the firing.

Finance: 56% of employees are happy with their compensation.

Again, math. Ugh. Some people love it, though.

A person in finance might direct budgeting of an organization, and oversee plans to make the organization money.

Purchasing: 55% of the people in purchasing departments love their work and pay.

What does a person in the purchasing department do? Um — purchase things. In a nutshell, they try to get the best products for their company to use or resell for the lowest prices.

Information Technology: 54% of individuals are happy with their jobs and salaries.

Talk about a broad term for a lot of different jobs.

An information technologist might install the operating system that a company uses, troubleshoot that system, work with all the communication networks, and basically keep them up and running with computers.

Legal: 54% of the legal team thinks their work meets their pay.

A person in the legal department might work with litigation, all investigations, maintaining compliance, and deal with mergers and acquisitions.

I’m out. But, you do you, boo.

Business Development: 54% of business developers think they get compensated justly.

These are the people who might work with the sales team in a business. They maintain customer contact and manage all aspects of customer negotiations. Business developers make sure that contracts are adhered to, and that said contracts are executed as agreed upon.

Marketing: 53% of the people in the marketing departments of organizations believe they are paid what they deserve.

A person in marketing is responsible for promoting a company and the product that it sells.

See those ads on TV? It’s the people in marketing who are responsible.

Accounting: 52% of accountants love their jobs and their pay.

My husband is an accountant. I would lose my mind. Spreadsheets and math. Ugh!!

A person in accounting deals with the finances of a company. They maintain all those tedious reports, and keep up with best practices on the money front of a company.

And, they do the taxes.

I mean, if you like that kind of thing, it might be just the job for you!!
