A DoorDash Driver Freaked Out On Customer Over A 25% Tip And This Is Ridiculous

What is an acceptable tip these days?

You can think you are leaving an awesome (or at least a reasonable) tip, and it just won’t be good enough for some people.

Take, for instance, this DoorDash delivery driver in Texas. He delivered a $20 pizza to a house, and the person gave him a (gasp) $5 tip.

I mean, isn’t that awesome? My cheap ass would have left like $3.

This DoorDash driver got a freaking 25% tip for doing his dang job.

But, he wasn’t happy with the generous tip. He dropped the pie at the door, and got mouthy with the customer that answered the door.

The entire exchange was caught on the doorbell camera. What awful customer service!

I just want to say it’s a nice house for a $5 tip.

The delivery driver didn’t stop there.

Are you able to take back a tip? Because, I would have immediately gone on the app and changed my generous tip to $0!

All the nopes. Seriously. I wouldn’t have stopped contacting DoorDash until he was fired.

So, I ask again, what is an acceptable tip for a delivery driver in this culture of unnecessary tipping?

According to Today, DoorDash has responded to the situation, and the delivery driver has been relieved of his duties with the company.

Respectfully asking for a tip is acceptable but abusing or harassing someone is never acceptable.
