The big game day is approaching fast and while you can certainly make the traditional guacamole dip to serve your party guests, we challenge you to go for something bold.

The challenge: make this Boozy Guacamole.

Yes, you read that right – I said boozy.

Get ready because this unique take on a traditional dish is going to be your new favorite go-to recipe for every gathering.

What You Need to Make Boozy Guacamole:

  • 2 Large Ripe Avocados from Mexico
  • 2 Tablespoons RITAS (can use Lime-A-Rita or Lemon-Ade-Rita)
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup tomato, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Drizzle of TABASCO® Sauce (on top)

How to Make Boozy Guacamole:

Starting by dicing your onions.

Once you have your onions diced, place them into a cup of cold water. The reason you do this is because the sulfur compounds responsible for that harsh flavor dissipate into the water from the cut surfaces of the onion. Overall, this helps your guacamole taste better!

In the meantime, dice the tomato and avocado.

Spoon your avocado out of the rind and into a bowl. Add your seasoning.

Now, add your RITAS to the avocado mixture.

Now, take a fork and start to mash your avocado. You want to do this until it reaches the consistency you want. Some like their guacamole a little more chunky than others.

Next, add in your diced onion and diced tomato. Save a little of the diced tomato and onion to add as garnish later.

Mix well.

Place the remaining diced onions and tomatoes on top of your guacamole dip.

Drizzle on some TABASCO® Sauce to your liking. I love adding this to my guacamole because it gives it a little kick. If you like spice, you’ll love adding this too.

Serve and enjoy!

Does this recipe contain alcohol?

Yes, because we are using RITAS and we are not cooking out the alcohol, this recipe is for 21 years of age and older.

RITAS is fruity, fizzy fun and can add fun to any game day celebration!

How long does this stay good for?

Ideally, you’d want to consume this recipe within a few hours after making but it can be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. However, it may begin browning. While this is not harmful, it’s just not as pretty to look at.

Did you know…

Avocados provide good fats, with its creamy texture, and mild flavor, avocados are a very flexible ingredient that can be used in many different types of dishes.

Versatile, delicious and simple to eat, it’s no wonder people love avocados!
