I love cherry season. I love adding cherries in pretty much anything. I’ll make cherry pie, cherry turnovers, cherry ice cream, cherry cinnamon rolls and, well, you get the picture. But my real love are cherries and bourbon together. It’s like they’re best friends, cut from a slightly tart and very naughty cloth. And you know what they say…best friends deserve to be together. This whiskey bourbom cherry bomb is a refreshing cocktail with a fruity twist

What You Need To Make A Cherry Bomb Bourbon Whiskey:

  • 3 ozs Hard Cherry Cider
  • 2 ozs Bourbon Whiskey
  • 4-6 Cherries, pitted
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • Crushed Ice
  • Cinnamon Sticks (for garnish)

How To Make A Cherry Bomb Bourbon Whiskey:

Using a standard 5 ounce whiskey glass add 3 ounces of Hard Cherry Cider.

Add 2 ounces of Bourbon Whiskey.

Using a small skillet add 4-6 pitted cherries, 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and cook over high heat and stirring constantly for  5 minutes. Using a slotted spoon remove cherries and let cool in the refrigerator. You can also make these ahead of time. When cooled add to drink.

Add crushed ice.
