Cobra Kai Season 4 Needs To Bring In Julie from ‘The Next Karate Kid.’ Here’s Why.
Don’t you love it when Cobra Kai brings back characters from The Karate Kid franchise? It makes my little Karate Kid loving soul so happy.
I mean, the OBVIOUS characters brought back were Johnny and Daniel, but then we’ve also had John Kreese, the return of Ali, and the addition of a few of the characters from The Karate Kid Part II. Not to mention, a giant nod to Mr. Miyagi, himself!
Giddy, I say! It makes me do a little happy dance each time we see a former character on the small screen.
But, there is one character that has yet to make an appearance, and that is Julie from The Next Karate Kid, played by Hilary Swank.
Cobra Kai hadn’t really paved the way for Julie to make a comeback — until now.
The obvious tie that connects Julie to the show is Mr. Miyagi. He was both Daniel’s and Julie’s sensei, so it makes sense that she would make an appearance.
Okay, I’m about to drop some spoilers, so if you haven’t seen all episodes of Cobra Kai, you may want to pause here, and go watch the show.
So, the first two seasons of Cobra Kai were about the rivalry that continued for Daniel and Johnny — and then that bled over into their students.
Then we had the third season, where John Kreese becomes the super villain, and Daniel and Johnny sort of mend their relationship, joining forces against Kreese.
Now that Johnny and Daniel are on the same team, it is the perfect time for Julie Pierce to show up on the scene.
She would lend a unique perspective to the training of the students from Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang Karate dojos. Her time training with Mr. Miyagi would be of great value and importance to the storyline, don’t you think?
Having Julie appear would also add a touch of femininity to the otherwise overly masculine presence that has been in the show thus far. While the show has been a fun ride, it would be nice to have a bit more woman power on the scene!
Come on, powers that be!! It’s time to bring back Julie Pierce! Do you agree?
