Cottage Cheese Edible Cookie Dough Is The New Viral Food Hack, And It’s Actually Really Good
This is surprisingly tasty …
Cottage cheese is having its moment right now.
The new trend is to use cottage cheese in everything. It really boosts the protein content of food without adding a super ton of calories.
We’ve previously seen cottage cheese made into Ice Cream, and it’s one of the main ingredients in the Mustard Diet.
Now, people are turning cottage cheese into edible cookie dough, and y’all, it’s actually really good!
I swear. You can’t tell you’re eating cottage cheese — like, at all.
TikTok has about a million and two videos about this cottage cheese edible cookie dough, and the recipes are kind of all over the place.
But, they all have pretty much the same ingredients — cottage cheese, protein powder, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and almond flour.
How To Make Cottage Cheese Edible Cookie Dough
Choose a cottage cheese. I go with a good 2% small curd variety, but you do you, babe.
You’re going to dumb an 8oz container into a blender, and blend until smooth.
I mean, really smooth. Get those lumpy curds nice and squished up.
Now, you’re going to add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup.
Blend that all together, and then pour it into a mixing bowl.
Add 1 cup of fine ground almond flour and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder. Stir until combined.
Next, you’re going to toss in some chocolate chips. Measure with your heart.
I use the Lily Brand chocolate chips, because I try not to overdo it on the sugar — we don’t get along so well.
The last step is to stir those chocolate chips into the gooey “cookie dough” mixture.
Voila!! Cottage cheese cookie dough!!
Try it, and let me know what you think.
