Have you ever microwaved Cup Noodles?

Well if you did, you’ve been cooking the instant ramen entirely wrong.

For decades, the famous ramen noodle brand has packaged their noodles in a polystyrene cup which has never been microwavable, despite the common misconception that it was.

Rather the correct way to make their ramen noodles was to pour boiling water over their noodles, wait three minutes, and then stir, until now that is.

Cup Noodles has officially changed the way you can make their instant noodles.

While nixing the polystyrene cup completely, the brand has also omitted the need for boiling water.

With their new design which you can now microwave, 2 minutes and 15 seconds is all you’ll need to cook the noodles inside thanks to the new paper cup!

The eco-friendly cup will also be made with 40% recycled fiber and the packaging, will no longer feature the plastic wrap we’re used to tearing open before devouring the quick lunch.

The new cups are planned to be released early of next year.

And if you’re worried that the company may have changed their recipe for the noodles and seasoning as well, don’t panic, because Cup Noodles has confirmed neither will change.
