If you had plans to visit Disneyland for spring break or any time in the near future, you might want to rethink your plans. Disneyland May Be Closing After City of Anaheim Bans Large Gatherings Due to Coronavirus.

The City of Anaheim (the city in which Disneyland is located) sent out a notice that they have banned gatherings of large people.

In the letter they state:

“The guidelines call for modifying or postponing non-essential gatherings of 250 or more people through March 31 to help stem the spread of coronavirus across the state.”

Now, I know that Disneyland is awesome and a fun place to visit BUT it’s a non-essential place.

While there is no plans for Disneyland to close right now, I believe it’s only a matter of time before Disneyland is closed down for many weeks to follow.

Even if they don’t, you are taking a risk being around so many people so you have to decide if that is worth it to you and your family.

If you have vacations already booked, I’d begin calling places that hold your reservations and asking for a refund or changing your visit to another date just in case.

  1. It’s not a “may be closing”, it’s a they will be closing starting Saturday, as it was already announced yesterday.

  2. Who proofed this? It says…” they have banned gatherings of large people.” Umm, don’t you mean “large gatherings of people.” Unless they are discriminating against large people. ?
