Do you ever see smoke or flames in the distance, and drive towards it until you find out where it’s coming from?

Luckily, one lady in Fairfield, Ohio did just that.

According to CNN, it was about 1am, and Haily “Moss” Strong noticed flames lighting up the night sky about a mile away.

She quickly followed the flames, and wound up smack in front of a house in a residential neighborhood.

The garage was engulfed in flames, and it was obvious that the people inside had no idea what was happening.

Haily ran up to the door, and started knocking — trying to alert the homeowner to the potential disaster that was happening.

The doorbell cam caught the moment that she started knocking on the strangers’ door.

I can see that I’m scared. I don’t remember feeling as scared as I look in the video. I just remember thinking I got to get these people out of here. I’ve got to get them across the street.

Luckily, Haily was able to get someone to roll out of bed and come to the door.

Josh Ellis and Brittany Downing quickly got their eight kids out of the house and across the street, away from the fire.

Although any fire is a disaster, Haily was able to keep this situation from becoming a tragedy.

She stood there in the face of the fire and didn’t move — She saved our lives because we didn’t smell it until that moment, but the house was already ablaze.

It makes my heart happy that a total stranger jumped in to help save a family from devastation.

All of the other outcomes that could have happened if she wouldn’t have stopped and knocked on the door. I don’t know if me and him would be here today for them kids.
