Guitarist Eddie Van Halen Has Died at Age 65
I have some awful news. 2020 is just a horrendous year for so many reasons.
Eddie Van Halen, famed guitarist for the band Van Halen, has died after fighting a valiant battle with cancer.
Van Halen was known for his innovative, and downright awesome guitar playing, that helped keep his self-named band at the forefront of the music scene for decades. He basically helped define an entire era of music.
Eddie’s son, Wolf, broke the news, via his Twitter feed, that his father had lost his “arduous battle with cancer” on Tuesday morning.
He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss

Eddie Van Halen was Born in the Netherlands, but raised in Pasadena, California. He was the founding member of Van Halen with his older brother Alex, who played the drums for the band.
