Here Are 7 Fall Activities You Can Recreate Right In Your Backyard
Between visiting corn mazes, choosing the right pumpkin at a pumpkin patch, going on hayrides or even bobbing for apples, there is no doubt that there are more than a handful of fun activities that makes the fall season so exciting.
So hear me out. Why not have a combination of these activities directly in your backyard? Here are a few fall ideas you can create at home to spend time with the family.
Build a fire pit and and use haystacks as seats!
Pumpkin Bowling! This one is my favorite. Use haystacks to create separate lanes, purchase bowling pins and use pumpkins for bowling balls.
Set up a game of Tic-Tac-Toe and draw the X’s and O’s on handful of pumpkins.
Host rounds of pumpkin checkers by replacing checker pieces for mini pumpkins on a checkerboard.
Candy Corn Ring Toss is another great way to bring the family together for a friendly (and slightly competitive) Halloween game night.
Use traffic cones as stakes and paint them orange, yellow and white so they look like candy corn!
Set up a smorgasbord of chili fixings for a chili bar or any one of your favorite fall foods to feed the fam!
Last but not least, grab a stack of blankets, a side table and a mini chalkboard sign to create a “keep cozy” nook because we all know these games are lasting all night long!
Now all that’s left to do is to assign a score keeper because whoever wins the most games at the end of the night I vote, should get the first slice of dessert which in this case, is pumpkin pie!
