With all of the holiday craziness you may have missed the news regarding a rather MASSIVE legal change… Effective Immediately, You Now Have to Be at Least 21 to Buy Tobacco Products.

Now, if you haven’t heard about this until now it might be because the announcements didn’t come until after it was already passed into law.

Congress basically passed it without any of us knowing until it was done.

But you know what? I am okay with that.

I am honestly surprised with how bad tobacco products are for you, a law hasn’t gone into effect saying they are illegal altogether.

But ya know, baby steps.

While I don’t agree with many of things happening politically right now, I will say, I agree with this.

Hopefully it will make people think twice before using tobacco products but if anything, it will keep 18 year old kids still in school from buying and possibly distributing it.

No matter the outcome, it is now illegal for any under 21 years of age to buy tobacco products within the U.S.

The provision raising the legal limit from 18 to 21 nationwide was in a massive spending bill passed by Congress and signed by the president on Dec. 20, 2019.

“This is a major step in protecting the next generation of children from becoming addicted to tobacco products,” new FDA commissioner Dr. Stephen Hahn tweeted last week.

I think this is a step in the right direction. What do you think?
