Apparently, Facebook Is Planning To Change Its Name
What in the world? This just seems crazy to me.
So, apparently, Facebook Is Planning To Change Its Name. Yeah, Facebook will no longer be known as “Facebook”.
I really cannot wrap my head around this, it just doesn’t make any sense.
Is Facebook hurting so bad that they feel the name to rebrand to cater to a younger audience?
According to reports, Facebook is planning to rebrand itself with a new name focused on the metaverse.
So, what is the metaverse you ask?
Apparently, it’s the idea that the metaverse is to create a space similar to the internet, where users (via digital avatars) can walk around and interact with one another in real time.
Sounds just like Roblox or Fortnite but for adults. Weird.
Nonetheless, due to wanting to create this metaverse, and due to the fact Facebook wants to be known for more than social media, a name change is needed.
Truthfully, I think this is a bad move for Facebook. I think Facebook is just trying to change their name in hopes people will forget about all the bad things about the platform.
Instead, why wouldn’t Facebook just refocus their energy, time and money to bring back the old days of Facebook without all the hate, misinformation and lies?
I don’t know, I just find this entire thing so weird.
I suspect Fakebook has decided that rebranding is cheaper and easier than cleaning out hate speech and misinformation. Do watch “The feed” (British dystopian drama). It is a metaverse lesson

Ridiculous it changes, they need to own up to it all and face the facts they screwed up big time. Not everything needs to be relevant. These changes are just like the 80s clothing and 90s coming back.. just stop already.
