Friends Is Leaving Netflix January 1

If you are a fan of Friends, and love to binge watch it on Netflix, you have exactly until December 31, 2019 to do so. The show is ending its contract with Netflix at the end of this year.

I’m a little sad it’s leaving Netflix. Afterall, if it were a person, it would TOTALLY be my lobster. You know what I mean?

The show was on for 10 seasons, and had a whopping 236 episodes. That’s a LOT of Netflix binge watching you have to do by the end of 2019!

If we take out time for commercials, each show is roughly 22.5 minutes long. That’s 5,310 minutes of glorious Friends that you have to get through by the end of the year. You can do it! I have complete faith in you.

Don’t worry, our favorite six FRIENDS — and their orange couch — will be coming to HBOMax when it launches in May of 2020.

I guess I can binge watch another show in the interim between the end of Friends airing on Netflix, and the beginning of its new home on HBOMax, but that would feel a little like cheating on my six best friends. I might have to explain WE WERE ON A BREAK!

This news only affect the US, as it will still be available in other countries. Maybe I can move overseas for four months?

I guess I should be grateful. We almost lost the show last year, but Netflix dished out a bunch of money to keep the show through the end of this year.
