Here’s Why I Have A Problem With Kim Kardashian Saying Her Look Is Attainable If You ‘Do The Work’

This may be the unpopular opinion here but I am going to say it anyways… I don’t like The Kardashians. In fact, to this day I haven’t watched a full episode of their show.

I’ve just never been one to be intrigued by watching others live unrealistic lives (it’s also why I don’t watch those real housewives of whatever city they are onto next shows).

And recently, my point was proven.

So, in case you haven’t heard by now, Kim Kardashian has been under fire lately after her response on the reunion special for the series finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

E!

Host Andy Cohen asked a valid question: “Do you think that you are promoting unattainable standards of beauty in any way?”

To which Kim Kardashian replies, “No, I don’t, because I think we get up, we do the work, we work out,”

Um, okay.

Now, when I heard that, I swear I heard my ears bleeding.

You see, the thing is, The Kardashians are the absolute prime example of UNATTAINABLE beauty standards. At least, naturally.

Kim Kardashian and the entire Kardashian family is gorgeous. But is is real? No.

Sure, you can work out every day of your life, save up enough money to get plastic surgery, get a tan and BAM maybe look like them.

But oh wait, they are also millionaires that have access to personal trainers, personal chefs, personal nutritionists, babysitters so they can work out all hours of the day, personal estheticians, a personal dermatologist, personal hair and makeup crew and even a plastic surgeon (who I assume is on retainer).

And if that isn’t enough, they have been caught dozens of times photoshopping their photos which that alone makes it entirely not a legit look.

So, tell me Kim what exactly about your “look” is attainable? And again, I am specifically talking for the average person, the very people that made you who you are today.

Your fans. Not fellow millionaires.

And let me be clear – I don’t care if you get plastic surgery, lipo suction, etc. I am all for that and will be there to drop you off and pick you up post op with a bag of frozen peas for the pain. You do you, boo.

It’s not the things that go INTO having this look that I have a problem with because I’ll admit, if I had millions of dollars, I’d do the same thing.

But the difference is, I’d never in a million years tell other people my look is attainable without sharing the context or facts of how I got to look the way I do.

And the problem is, for people like The Kardashians who constantly lands themselves in the spotlight, they know, they are setting unrealistic standards for women and even young girls.

Kim Kardashian

Girls who are insecure enough of their growing bodies that look at The Kardashians and think, I want to look like that and if I don’t, I am not enough.

Kim Kardashian

And that is my biggest issue wit what she said…

If she’s going to say shit like that on live tv, she at least needs to be honest and say, “Well yeah, my look is attainable but it comes with a hefty price tag oh and lots of plastic surgery”.

Kim Kardashian

Again, I never was a fan of The Kardashians before but this really solidified my feelings. Do better Kim.

  1. Kardashian’s have a TV show? Oh yeah, if they did I don’t care. They aren’t real people plastic bodies, plastic brains, plastic lives, plastic world nothing do with real life. Rather robots programmed to act like robots wanting the attention of young girls to be like them. Silly girls. My opinion anyway.
