Heinz is Releasing A ‘Barbiecue’ Sauce That is Barbie Pink

I’ll start this off by saying I have a thing about eating food that looks weird.

It took me about 28 years of living before I would even try guacamole simply because of how it looked, and now I can’t get enough of it.

Barbie’s 65th anniversary is being celebrated in a weird, yet interesting way. This is a collaboration that I would have never imagined.

Heinz and Mattel have joined forces to bring us ‘Barbiecue’ Sauce, and it is pink.

It’s called Heinz Classic Barbiecue Sauce, and it’s vegan.

The Heinz Classic Barbiecue Sauce is made using vegan mayonnaise and barbecue sauce mixed together.

Heinz joked about this last year on Instagram, but I didn’t think it would become a reality. Now I guess we need to see if the Tomato ‘Kenchup’ makes an appearance!

Barbie well and truly won the hearts of Brits all over again last year, and after seeing the reaction this sauce brought to our fans on social media, we knew we had to make it a reality. We’re always looking for ways to innovate and give our fans what they want, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring this iconic partnership with Mattel to life.

So how do they get that Barbie pink color? Well, they use beetroot extract!

Right now, the sauce is only available in the UK and Spain, but they may also release it here. Make sure you let them know that we would like to give it a try, I’ll just close my eyes before I take a bite.
