Here’s How To Protect Children Under 12 From Getting Covid
Dr. Anthony Fauci has spoken up about how to protect our kids under 12 years old from catching COVID, and it’s pretty smart.
More and more people are getting vaccinated, and what’s even better, many of those people are kids over the age of 12.
These vaccinated individuals can take solace in the fact that, although they can still contract COVID, their sickness won’t be near as long or severe.
But, what about those kids under 12 who can’t have the vaccine?
Schools aren’t mandating masks, so it’s kind of a question of WHEN they will get the virus, and not IF they will get the virus.
Of course, the #1, ground zero, absolute, without-a-doubt way that to keep these kids better protected is for ALL the people — kids and adults alike — to be wearing masks.
I’m not going to get on my soapbox, and I’m not here to argue the efficacy of the masks. I’m just here to ask you PLEASE to wear them. Better safe than sorry.
There is another way that we can help these kids not to catch the virus.
The way you protect children who, because of their age, cannot get vaccinated yet is to surround the children — be it friends, family, school teachers, personnel in the school — surround the children with vaccinated people.

I had to stop and think about that for a second. Why in the world would that help the situation?
But, it’s simple really. If you surround kids with vaccinated people, the odds of them catching the virus go way down.
If you surround your kids with unvaccinated people, they run a bigger risk of getting COVID.
You only need to look at the states with a lower rate of vaccinated individuals. They are the states that are seeing a surge in pediatric patients to hospitals.
Thanks to the Delta variant, kids are getting sicker quicker and in higher numbers than they were before.
Hospitals are once again overrun with staff shortages, and the sheer number of cases coming in.’
I had to go to the emergency room a few weeks back with heart trouble. I had to wait SIX HOURS in the emergency room, with my heart flip flopping all over the place, because COVID people kept coming in. They couldn’t stick actively COVID-sick people in the confined waiting room with “healthier” individuals, so the COVID patients were being seen first.
Guess what, almost NONE of those people were wearing masks when they came in the building.
If you want to protect kids, get the shot and wear the mask. Keep them away from individuals who refuse. Sure, it’s inconvenient and oftentimes not a great situation, but we have to keep our kiddos safe.
