Hulu’s New Christmas Romcom Made Me Love Kristen Stewart Even More

I’ve never had a problem with Kristen Stewart but I know a lot of people didn’t like her especially after her role in the Twilight series.

With that being said, I think I love her even more as an actress after seeing her in Hulu’s new Christmas flick.

Hulu released Happiest Season and it’s the feel good movie we all need right now!

Fair warning: I won’t spoil anything for those that haven’t seen it.

Basically, Kristen Stewart plays a lesbian that ends up being invited to her girlfriend’s parents house for the holidays. Only, the girlfriend’s parents don’t know their daughter is gay and think Kristen Stewart’s character is just a friend.

Meeting your girlfriend’s family for the first time can be tough. Planning to propose at her family’s annual Christmas dinner — until you realize that they don’t even know she’s gay — is even harder. When Abby (Kristen Stewart) learns that Harper (Mackenzie Davis) has kept their relationship a secret from her family, she begins to question the girlfriend she thought she knew. Happiest Season is a holiday romantic comedy that hilariously captures the range of emotions tied to wanting your family’s acceptance, being true to yourself, and trying not to ruin Christmas.

As you can imagine, lots of things happen and things don’t really go as planned…

Oh, and did I mention that Daniel Levy is in it? Yes! I just love him! He’s such a funny and loving character in the show.

While I genuinely enjoyed the show, and felt it was a good holiday movie, I loved the role Kristen Stewart played.

I loved that they promoted a She outdid herself and I love that this movie promotes the LGBTQ community in such a light-hearted and normalized way (how it should be).

There definently were some moments I shed a tear and went “Awwww” and it’s the romantic comedy I think we all need right now.

Seriously, Kristen was fabulous and it makes me excited to see her in more roles like this one.

Oh, and if you don’t believe me, people have nothing but nice and positive things to say about the show on YouTube like this:

If you want a feel good holiday movie, this is it!
