Jason Momoa As ‘The Crow’ Is Exactly What I Needed To See Today
Two words: Jason Momoa.
There pretty much isn’t anything I won’t watch as long as I get to stare at Jason Momoa for an hour and a half.
But, there is one movie I was REALLY looking forward to watching. Jason was going to play the lead in a remake of The Crow — the dark supernatural fantasy film that turns 27 this year!
It was originally a graphic novel by James O’Barr, and it has definitely developed a cult following over the years.
I was totally stoked about the opportunity to see Jason in such a dark (and totally HOT) role.
The remake was not in the stars, however, and the film was cancelled before it even began.
But, that didn’t stop footage from the test shots of Jason Momoa from being released — and for that, we give thanks.
Oh. My. Gosh. I could stare at him all day long.
Do you know how freaking sad I am — I mean, there were tears — that this remake of The Crow isn’t happening?!?
When the film was axed, Jason made a heartfelt post on Instagram.
I’ve waited 8 years to play this dream role. I love you @corinhardy and @sonypictures unfortunately I may have to wait 8 more. Not our team. But I swear I will. James O’Barr sorry to let you down I won’t on the next. This film needs to be set free. And to the fans. Sorry. I can’t play anything but what this film deserves and it needs love. So, I guess we wait until the studios decide to remake this classic. BUT, they better choose Jason Momoa to play the lead. I can’t think of ANYONE better!

If you want to see my FAVORITE Jason Momoa footage, you’d have to watch Game of Thrones. But, this footage of Jason throwing axes comes in a close second.
