It’s a superstition that black cats are bad luck on Halloween.

You know the saying, “If a black cat crosses your path on Halloween, it brings bad luck” which in reality, is not true.

But regardless of what you may or may not believe in, some individuals who believe in the superstition are hurting black cats which is completely inappropriate.

Public service announcements are going viral on TikTok warning people to protect their pets by keeping them safe inside on Halloween night, and it just breaks my heart that others are intentionally hurting the four legged fur-babies.

Videos on TikTok that have gained hundreds of thousands of likes are showing up on many “for you pages” and grabbing cat owner’s attention to make sure their house pets stay safe on the holiday that is now less than a month away.

Since many cats enjoy the outdoors and tend to roam around the neighborhood, make sure to especially keep your black cats safe inside the house on Halloween night.

In fact, it might even be a good idea to keep all of the animals inside the house too, just to make sure that all family pets stay completely safe during the holiday.
