Kim Kardashian is in some hot water and honestly, it’s where she deserves to be right now.

People, specifically women, all over are outraged over comments Kim Kardashian recently made in an interview to Variety.

In the interview, Kim was asked about her advice for success and her answer was shocking…

“I have the best advice for women in business. Get your effing ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”

She then went on to say:

“You have to surround yourself with people who want to work, have good work environment where people love what they do. You have one life. No toxic work environment. And show up and do the work.”

So, let us unravel this, for starters, I don’t disagree with the second part of her “advice”. I think everyone wants to have an environment where people work happily and without toxicity.

However, that statement isn’t that easy and when you’re living paycheck to paycheck, it is a lot easier said than done.

Now onto her first comment, “Get your effing ass up and work.

Um, excuse me?

I think most people these days can say that they work their ass off every single day with little to nothing to show for it.

In fact, I’d argue the majority of people today work harder than anyone else.

Kim Kardashian’s comments just prove how entitled she is.

Newsflash Kim, not everyone was born into their parents money.

Not everyone could (or would want to) exploit themselves on video and become famous.

Here’s the thing – I get Kim built a lot of her fortune but she completely had a leg up on things.

She wasn’t broke as hell in College then became a mom with crippling debt and having to decide between paying the rent or putting food on the table for her kids.

She is so far touch out of reality it isn’t even funny.

And if her point was to really give people advice, she could have just said something like, just work hard or just take risks or just keep going. Ya know, something way better than assuming people are just lazy.

People all over are so upset about this. Even other celebrities.

Meghan McCain tweeted (and has since deleted) saying:

“The vast majority of hard-working Americans are living paycheck to paycheck and working multiple jobs. By far the hardest rung to move up from in America is poverty. I say this born from extreme privilege.”

Others are quick to comment about it too.

Some actually agree with Kim but for one reason, because people who work hard, are exhausted. Did Kim forget about The Great Resignation?

The bottom line here is, to assume that people don’t want to work and if they just got off their ass and did, their problems would go away, is awful.

That mentality is truly what is wrong with this world.

And even if it were true, maybe there is a reason people no longer want to work. Perhaps it’s because the system is broken more than people just being lazy.

If only Billionaires of the world could live in Poverty for a year and really see what it was like, maybe, just maybe, things like this in the world would be fixed.
