McDonald’s has been inspired to change their identity after some of anime’s most iconic movies and shows have represented the “WcDonald’s” restaurant.

So you can expect McDonalds to flip their “M” in McDonald’s to “W” on all of its packaging soon enough!

“Anime is a huge part of today’s culture, and we love that our fans have been inviting us into the conversation for years,” Tariq Hassan, the chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald’s USA, said in a press release. “The WcDonald’s universe is a reflection of what fans have created. It honors their vision and celebrates their creativity, while authentically bringing it to life in our restaurants for the first time ever.”

Alongside the colorful new packaging that will feature WcDonald’s Crew characters, designed by Japanese manga artist/illustrator Acky Bright, look out for the scannable, digital code that will also give you access to weekly anime shorts.

You can expect the new animated shorts to release every Monday starting February 26 until March 18!

“I had a great time partnering with McDonald’s to help make WcDonald’s a reality for manga fans who have a genuine love for the brand. From the details of the diverse Crew characters to the manga plot itself, I loved being able to use my artwork to bring to life the dynamic, vibrant world of WcDonald’s for people around the world,” said Acky Bright in a press release statement.

McDonald’s, I mean WCDonald’s, is also debuting a new dipping sauce that packs some heat as well.

Dubbed Savory Chili, the new sauce features chili flakes, garlic, ginger, and soy, and I simply can’t wait to try this new sauce on some fresh french fries.

And to make this anime-themed experience even more real and exciting, fan can also visit a real-life WcDonald’s restaurant.

Yes, you read that correctly, so go on, pack your bags because the new anime pop-up located in Los Angeles includes an immersive dining experience that you won’t want to miss out on!
