Selena Gomez Is Going To Play Linda Ronstadt In An Upcoming Movie About Her Life
Selena Gomez is all set to play Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic about the life of the singer.
If you don’t know the name Linda Ronstadt, you obviously weren’t around in the 70s and 80s.
Linda Ronstadt’s magical voice was EVERYWHERE — from radio to movies — and absolutely everyone on the face of this earth loved her.
She pumped out an astounding 24 studio albums, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2014.
Recently, Ronstadt has stepped back from public life, as she is battling progressive supranuclear palsy, which was originally misdiagnosed as Parkinsons.
Now, a new biopic about Linda Ronstadt’s life is in the works by the producer of Walk The Line, James Keach, and Ronstadt’s manager, John Boylan.
James Keach also produced a documentary on Ronstadt’s life in 2019, Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice, so he knows a thing or two about the singer.
The biopic is in the preproduction phase, and no other casting, except Selena Gomez, has been announced.
