A Suspect Has Been Arrested in Connection To Tupac Shakur’s Death
It has been nearly 27 years since the death of rapper, Tupac Shakur and it looks like those that knew and loved him, may finally be getting some justice for his death.
News broke today that a suspect has been arrested in connection to his death and 27 years may be a long time but it’s better late than never.
According to reports, Las Vegas officials announced today that a grand jury has indicted Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis on charges of murder with use of a deadly weapon in connection to the killing of Tupac Shakur in 1996.
Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis was arrested Friday morning in Las Vegas.
Apparently, his wife’s Henderson home was searched in July as part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting.
In case you don’t remember the details, Tupac was shot and killed while leaving a boxing match on the Las Vegas Strip. He was just 25 years old at the time.
Since his death, rumors and conspiracy theories have been swirling around to exactly what happened to him. Some even believe to this day that he is actually alive.
At a Friday news conference, authorities said:
For 27 years, the family of Tupac Shakur has been waiting for justice,” said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill at the news conference.
They continued:
“The investigation started on the night of September 7th, 1996,” McMahill said. “It is far from over. It has taken countless hours, really decades, of work by the men and women of our homicide section to get to where we are today.”
Wow that is a ton of time to pass without any justice but at least nows they think they caught their guy!
