Ryan Reynolds is the GOAT. He truly is the best.

From his comedies to the hilarious social media posts him and his wife make, nearly everyone has a reason to love him.

And then there came his solution to expensive cell phone plans – Mint Mobile.

Ryan Reynolds was part owner of Mint Mobile which offered a better (and cheaper) solution on cell phones and pre-paid service plans.

If you missed out on his Mint Mobile commercials, they were often quite hilarious because ya know, he starred in them.

But now, things are about to change because T-Mobile has purchased Mint Mobile from Ryan Reynolds for $1.3 Billion. Yes, I said BILLION.

Under the agreement, the deal is expected to close later this year.

T-Mobile will acquire Ka’ena Corp. and its subsidiaries and brands: Mint Mobile, international wireless service Ultra Mobile and wholesaler Plum.

T-Mobile said it will be able “to leverage Mint’s industry-leading digital [direct-to-consumer] marketing expertise as part of its broader portfolio to reach new customer segments and geographies.”

It is also know that Mint Mobile founders David Glickman and Rizwan Kassim will remain at T-Mobile to manage the brands, which will “generally” operate as a separate business unit.

So, only time will tell if the cost and service will change any but for now, looks like T-Mobile is taking the wireless carrier world by storm.
