Thing From Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ Was Actually Played By An Actor. Here’s How They Did It.
Have you been watching Wednesday on Netflix?
I love absolutely everything about it!
Wednesday Addams is officially my spirit animal — she really gets me.
But, there is one Wednesday cast member who has completely stolen the show and won the heart feels of absolutely everyone.
That cast member is — I bet you can guess it — Thing.
You know Thing, he is that severed hand who follows Wednesday around.
He actually plays a pretty big part, but I’m not going to spoil it for you.
Did you know that Thing was actually played by an actor?
He wasn’t just fully CGI-ed in for effect.
Pretty cool, huh!!
The behind the scenes photos of how they brought Thing to life are so cool!
I simply love to break that fourth wall, and get a peek at what goes on behind the scenes.
Thing was actually played by Victor Dorobantu, an actor who is a magician and illusionist in real life.
Almost every time you see Thing in the show, it is actually Victor dressed in a full-body blue suit.
They took the blue blob that was Victor out of the shot in post production, leaving just his hand.
He would wear a full blue suit, and he would hide behind walls and underneath beds. Then they built this prosthetic on top of his hand so that it looked like a wrist knob, and he would walk around.

Don’t miss Thing — and of course Wednesday — in the New Netflix Original, Wednesday, out now.
