Super sad news from Hollywood today.

Tom Sizemore — who you probably know from films like Saving Private Ryan and Point Break — has suffered a brain aneurysm that was caused by a stroke he had last week.

An aneurysm is when a blood vessel balloons out in a sort of bulge. This bulge — which can happen in the brain or elsewhere in the body — can rupture, and cause internal bleeding.

This internal bleeding, tragically, often leads to death.

Tom’s condition has not improved since he had the aneurysm, and his family is having to make some very difficult decisions.

Decisions that none of us wish to ever have to make regarding our loved ones.

He remains at the hospital, in ICU, and in a coma. And, unfortunately, he doesn’t show signs of improving.

According to TMZ, the medical staff at the hospital where Tom is being treated have suggested an end-of-life plan.

We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they wish to thank the hundreds of messages of prayers and support that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them.

At this point, we don’t know exactly what this end-of-life plan entails, but the family is expected to make a statement in the next couple of days.

We will let you know as soon as more information becomes available.
