Here’s Everything We Know About The Apple iOS 14 Software Update

The new iOS 14 is coming but it will not update onto every Apple device. There are some iPhones and iPads that have now aged out of future updates.

The first time I ran into this problem, I was so frustrated. BUT, now I know it’s just an Apple thing, and I roll with it. That’s all you can do.

I know. It SUCKS to have a phone that is paid off, but can’t update. Been there, done that. I guess that’s the price you pay to have an AWESOME smartphone.

According to Yahoo News, the new iOS software is set to come out this fall, but the iPhone 6S is the oldest phone that will receive this update.

The iPod Touch seventh-generation will also be able to download iOS 14. But, that is the ONLY compatible iPod, according to the Apple website.

Thankfully, Apple has continued its long tradition of supporting devices way past their usual use-by date, and this year, iOS 14 is available on an unprecedented number of iPhones. Make sure you have one of the following iPhones to hand before you start the process of downloading and installing iOS 14.
