It’s the interview we’ve all been waiting to watch.

Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies is a 3-episode documentary-style interview on Peacock with — well — Casey Anthony, as you might guess.

We were told she was there to “set the record straight.”

What she did was drop a couple bombshell claims about the case that we hadn’t before heard.

For only the second time ever, Casey broke her decade-old silence about the murder of her daughter.

She sat down to tell the world her version of the story, but it’s up to you to decide what you believe.

Casey Anthony became infamous in 2008 when the world learned of the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter, Caylee.

For nearly six months volunteers tirelessly conducted a nationwide search for little Caylee.

There were hundreds of leads that were followed up on. Each one of them a dead end in the case.

Then came the news that rocked the world.

Caylee’s remains were found in a wooded area near the family home.

Everyone was stunned when Casey was charged with the murder of the toddler.

But, the world quickly turned on Casey when the details came to light in this bizarre, horrific case.

A media circus-like trial followed, and everyone thought the case was pretty much a slam dunk.

Shockingly, on July 5, 2011, Casey Anthony was acquitted of the murder and manslaughter charges.

NOW, Casey’s story has changed just a bit, and the story is quite shocking.

She confirms that she lied to investigators — for which she was found guilty.

But, Casey says the reason she lied to investigators was because her father abused her for years.

Supposedly, her dad is the one who did something to Calee, and Casey went along with the story.

According to Casey, lying is what she was groomed to do over the years because of the abuse.

I lied to everyone because that was my whole life up until that point. — Acting like everything’s OK but knowing nothing was OK. I’ve had years of therapy and I’m trying to analyze my own behavior and explain my own behavior, all of this is a reaction of trauma.

I made myself look crazy. And gave law enforcement absolutely no reason to believe or trust anything that I said.

Casey Anthony

I get why from an outside perspective all of this seems so (trails off) — Because even for me, it still feels that way. As far as I am concerned, there’s no justifying my actions or behavior, except to say that I was doing what I was conditioned to do.

Casey Anthony

Although her father denies the accusations, Casey says that he abused her when she was between the ages of 8 and 12.

When I was 8 years old, my father started to come into my room at night. — I was physically hurt, scared because I was physically hurt and I ‘can’t tell mommy what happened [or] she’ll get mad at me.’ That’s what I was told.”

What Casey Anthony Says Happened The Morning Calee Disappeared

Casey says she got up to make Calee breakfast, but she wasn’t feeling great.

She went back to her room, turned on the TV for Calee, and fell asleep with her daughter by her side.

Her father was home at the time she fell asleep, but she didn’t think much about it.

The next thing she knew, her father was waking her up and asking where Calee was.

She was a bit confused, because it was quite unusual for Calee to have gotten up and left the room by herself.

Casey says she searched the house and the yard for Calee, but couldn’t find her.

When she went back in the house her dad was “standing there with her.”

She’s soaking wet. — I can see him standing there with her in his arms and handing her to me and telling me that it’s my fault. That I did that. That I caused that.

Casey says she didn’t call 9-1-1 — which she was criticized for — because her dad kept telling her it would be okay.

I don’t know how long I sat outside, I don’t know where he went, he took her from me and he went away. — I don’t know where he went and I don’t know what he did.

Casey Anthony

It was like I was brainwashed. And it wasn’t until much later that I started to really realize why. — It’s like I had Stockholm syndrome.

Casey Anthony

— I failed to protect my child and I kept failing her even after that. I failed her again and again and again. Because I still protected the person who hurt me.

Casey Anthony

Casey says that during the entire time the world was searching for her daughter, she believed Calee would be okay.

Her father kept telling her things would be fine, and she should just do what he said.

There were no threats, I just knew that I had to do what he wanted me to, the same reason I knew that since the time I was 8 years old. Just do what he wants, it worked before, do it now. I did what I needed to do to survive.

What do you think? Is she being truthful this time? Or is she doing more of the same lying?
