Celine Dion Has Lost Control Of Her Muscles Due to Her Continued Struggle With A Rare Neurological Disorder

This is sad news for Ms. Celine Dion…

We have known for awhile that Celine has been battling a rare neurological disorder — stiff-person syndrome — a disorder that can cause muscle weakness, muscle stiffness, and painful muscle spasms.

Unfortunately for the singer, things have gotten worse instead of better.

She has lost control over certain muscles and body movements, and I can’t even imagine how this might be affecting her life.

She doesn’t have control over her muscles — What breaks my heart is that she’s always been disciplined. She’s always worked hard. Our mother always told her, ‘You’re going to do it well, you’re going to do it properly.’

Celine wants nothing more than to get on stage and perform — it’s what she does.

But, this stiff-person syndrome has really affected her ability to do what she loves.

Back in May, Celine had to cancel her Courage World Tour, because she was beginning to feel the affects of the illness.

She posted a video, apologizing to her fans, and telling them about the disorder which was now overtaking her life.

I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again — I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again.

According to her sister, Claudette, Celine is living with their sister, Linda, who helps Celine on a daily basis, trying very hard to overcome this illness.
