This Chocolate Fondue Food Board Takes Date Night To The Next Level
Are you looking for something just a little bit different — yet easy — to show your SO that you love them?
You can take your Valentine’s Day date night to a whole new level by setting up an easy chocolate fondue food board.
It will look like you spent hours on these boards, when, in fact, setup only takes a couple of minutes.
The most time consuming part is melting the chocolate, but you can do that while you set up your fondue board.
How To Set Up A Chocolate Fondue Food Board For Valentine’s Day
The first thing you are going to need is a Fondue Pot to hold your chocolate fondue.
This sounds super fancy and difficult, but it really couldn’t be any easier.
It’s just a ceramic pot with some candles underneath it to keep the chocolate warm.
You can get this great Fondue Set from Amazon, and it will totally match the aesthetic of your Valentine’s table.
Now, you are going to melt your chocolate.
Pour 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 12-ounce package of chocolate chips, and 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil into a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave for 20 seconds at a time, stirring each time the timer goes off.
Once your chocolate is nice and melty, pour it into the fondue bowl and light your tea light candles, keeping the chocolate warm.
Now, get to setting up your board.
Put the fondue pot wherever you want — maybe in the middle of the table, maybe in the upper corner — you decide.
Once you place your fondue pot on the table, you want to lay down all kinds of dippers on a pretty plate.
Ideas for chocolate fondue dippers:
- Strawberries
- Pound Cake
- Marshmallows
- Pineapples
- Graham Crackers
- Small Waffles
- Blondies
- Pretzels
- Bananas
- Biscoff Cookies
Really, if it sounds like it would be good covered in chocolate, you can use it.
That opens it up to pretty much everything. There isn’t a food that doesn’t taste better covered in chocolate, right?!? LOL!!
Really, that’s all there is to it.
Light a couple candles, turn down the lights, pour some wine, put on some soft music, and you’ve got yourself one hell of a Valentine’s date night.
