Do NOT Let Your Kids Watch The New Diary of A Wimpy Kid Movie
Disney has really done it this time…
If you have a kid that likes the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series there is something you should know about before letting them watch the new movie…

The new Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas Cabin Fever movie was released on Disney+ on December 8, 2023 and since that time, there has been some chatter about some of the events in the movie that is causing schools to urge parents to proceed with caution.

Therefore, I think it’s my duty to share with you the reason why so you can decide for yourself if your kids should watch the movie or not…

Do NOT Let Your Kids Watch The New Diary of A Wimpy Kid Movie
The official synopisis of the movie is:
The winter holidays are turning out to be especially stressful for Greg Heffley this year. After accidentally damaging a snowplow while making a snowman with best friend Rowley Jefferson, Greg worries he won’t get the new video game console he so desperately wants for Christmas. To make matters worse, he gets snowed in with his family, including his grumpy older brother Rodrick and annoying younger brother Manny.
But what that doesn’t tell you is that the movie actually ruins Christmas for those who believe and parents are livid about it.

While the film is rated 6+ years of age, many that age still believe in the magic of Christmas and of course, Santa.
Early in the film, the film’s main character finds his Christmas presents at home before the big day and sees them again on Christmas Day. He then realizes the toys weren’t made or delivered by Santa and his elves after all.

And yep – that is causing kids to learn the truth about Santa in a sad way.
Schools are even sending emails to parents as a PSA so their kids’ holidays aren’t ruined.

Honestly, as a parent that still has little ones who believe, I’d be upset if they found out from a Disney movie or if they caught me off guard asking questions.
So, make sure you are aware of this before letting them watch the new Disney movie.
