After being in the spotlight for so long, Meg Ryan all but disappeared for the better part of a decade.

But now she has resurfaced, and is bringing the RomCom back.

Meg Ryan is starring in the new film, What Happens Later, opposite David Duchovny of X-Files fame.

This new flick is actually coming to theaters, not just streaming, and I’m so excited!!

Willa and Bill are ex-lovers that will see each other for the first time in years when they both find themselves snowed in, in-transit, at an airport overnight.

Meg also co-wrote and directed this film, which is based on Steven Dietz’s play, Shooting Star.

I’ll admit, I’ve never heard of the play, but I’m super stoked for this Meg Ryan Rom-Com!

Indefinitely delayed, Willa, a magical thinker, and Bill, a catastrophic one, find themselves just as attracted to — and annoyed by — one another as they did decades earlier. But as they unpack the riddle of their mutual past and compare their lives to the dreams they once shared, they begin to wonder if their reunion is mere coincidence, or something more enchanted.
