Melissa Joan Hart just happened to be driving by at the same time the Nashville school shooting was happening, and she is tearfully telling us about her experience.

ICYMI, three children and three staff members were shot and killed during a school shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday.

The shooter, Audrey Hale, was shot and killed by responding police officers at the scene.

Melissa Joan Hart and her husband, who happen to live in Nashville, were headed to parent-teacher conferences at their own children’s nearby school as the shootings were in progress.

They were driving past The Covenant School, when they noticed little kids running away in a panic.

We helped a class of kindergartners across a busy highway. They were climbing out of the woods. They were trying to escape the shooter situation at their school.

I can’t even imagine, and wish we didn’t have to face the reality of another school shooting.

But, here we are.

Y’all. These were itty bitty little kids who were terrified for their lives.

We helped all these tiny little kids cross the road and get (to) their teachers — We helped a mom reunite with her children.

The victims of The Covenant School shooting were identified as Evelyn Dieckhaus, William Kenney, and Hallie Scruggs, all 9-year-old students.

Also lost were Michael Hill, a 61-year-old custodian, Cynthia Peak, a 61-year-old substitute teacher, and Katherine Koonce, the 60-year-old school principal.

Melissa Joan Hart shared the exact sentiment that we all are feeling right now.

I don’t just — don’t know what to say anymore — enough is enough. And just pray. Prayer for the families.

It just so happens that Melissa and her husband relocated to Nashville from Newtown, Connecticut.

If that town sounds familiar, it should.

It was where a shooter killed 26 people at Sandy Hook elementary school in 2012.

This is our second experience with a school shooting with our kids being in close proximity.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families affected by this devastating tragedy.
