There was a time when I was totally OBSESSED with Monk, the show that follows an obsessive-compulsive, slightly agoraphobic, introverted detective through his quirky ways of solving crimes.

It sounds like it would be a serious drama — and it kind of is — but it’s also a completely hilarious comedy — a dramedy, if you will.

Seriously, if you haven’t seen Monk, head on over to Peacock. They have all 8 seasons of the show on the ready for you to sit and binge watch.

Well, here’s a bit of good news heading into your weekend.

Peacock has just announced that they will be bringing a Monk movie to the streaming network.

Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie will see the return of Tony Shalhoub as the quirky detective with the slightly glitchy personality.

Monk returns to solve one last, very personal case involving his beloved step-daughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding.

Y’all. I can’t wait for this one!!

After leaving the airwaves nearly 11 years ago, this new Monk movie brings Adrian Monk into present-day San Francisco.

If you remember, at the end of season 8 — the series finale — Monk, whose wife passed away before the start of the show, was reunited with a step-daughter that he never knew existed.

The ending had us all wishing for more.

Well, now we are about to get more!!

At this point, Monk has lived through the 2020 pandemic, and I am very curious to see how he survived.

If you know anything about Monk, he is completely germ phobic. I would think a pandemic would send him over the edge of insanity.

Keep your eyes and ears posted. We will let you know when we get more news about this new Monk movie — like when it’s going to drop.
