You Can Make Nachos In The Air Fryer And My World Just Changed
Taco Tuesdays should be everyday, AMIRITE?!?
And, nothing goes with Taco Tuesday better than — a margarita, but that’s not what we’re here for — an appetizer of nachos.
I usually make nachos in the oven — the microwave if I’m in a pinch.
But, I just found out you can make crispy, delicious nachos in the air fryer, and I’m never doing it another way again.
How To Make Nachos In The Air Fryer
First things first — you have to have an air fryer.
Don’t have one yet? You can get a great one HERE.
Now, you need to assemble your ingredients for the nachos:
- Chips — I like Tostitos or Doritos, but you do you.
- Shredded Cheese
- Taco Meat — or shredded chicken if you prefer
Optional ingredients that you can use:
- Salsa
- Black olives
- Black beans
- Pickled jalapeno
- Diced white onions
- Pico de gallo
Put down some parchment paper in the bottom of your air fryer.
On the parchment paper, layer chips, then taco meat, then cheese, then your optional ingredients.
Repeat those layers two times to make a super-layered nacho treat.
Now, you are going to shut up your air fryer, and cook those nachos on 400º F for 10 minutes.
While the nachos are cooking, get your toppings ready — the ones you didn’t want in the air fryer.
Topping ideas for your nachos:
- Pickled jalapenos
- Sour cream
- Guacamole
- Shredded lettuce
- Salsa
- Sliced green onions
When your nachos are done cooking, CAREFULLY take them out of the air fryer with a spatula — don’t burn yourself.
Throw whatever toppings you want on there, and ENJOY!!

Instructions
- Line bottom of air fryer with parchment paper
- Layer chips, taco meat, cheese, and any optional ingredients you want to add (see below)
- Repeat layers
- Cook nachos at 400º F for 10 minutes
- Carefully remove with a spatula, and top nachos with whatever you want
- Enjoy
