Netflix Is Opening Physical Stores and I Am So There

Netflix is about to see who their true fans are.

The streaming giant has decided to open a handful of physical shops according to Bloomberg, for fans who simply can’t get enough of the platform at home.

So if you’re used to binge-watching movies and Netflix originals on the platform, the streaming company invites you to come visit their newly furnished stores.

The several new shops which will be dubbed “Netflix House”, will include retail sites where fans can immerse theirselves in popular television series such as Bridgerton, Stranger Things or Squid Game.

Can you imagine willingly walking into the Upside Down? Me neither.

The idea to open up shop was inspired by the pop-up shops Netflix has opened in the last few years says Bloomberg.

But fans can expect something even better than those pop-up shops and something similar to The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience that Netflix previously had hosted in 10 cities across North America.

The new collection of stores will include rotating installations with merchandise to browse through, themed foods, live experiences, and even an obstacle course to compete in just like Squid Games, according to Josh Simon, Netflix’s vice president of consumer products who told Bloomberg.

“We’ve seen how much fans love to immerse themselves in the world of our movies and TV shows, and we’ve been thinking a lot about how we take that to the next level,” Simon told Bloomberg.

The first two Netflix House locations will open its doors in the US come 2025, which means we’ll have to wait to walk in the Upside Down or have tea with the queen in Bridgerton.

And after the first two stores makes their grand opening, the rest of the Netflix House sites will follow in pursuit globally.
