Is Facebook Down Right Now? Here’s Everything We Know

If you’ve been trying to login to Facebook and thought someone hacked your account because you were greeted with a “password incorrect” login screen, you’re not alone.

The good news is, you are not hacked. The bad news is, Facebook and Instagram is facing a massive outage here in the U.S.

Is Facebook Down Right Now?

As of Tuesday, March 5 2024 at 9:00 AM MST Facebook is down for thousands of users.

Update: As of 9:37 AM MST some Facebook users are able to login. Others are reporting issues logging in on a computer but can access Facebook via the app.

According to reports, Meta’s social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) are currently not working and are both pulling up “failure to load” error pages.

When I was finally able to login, I was met with this page which looks like my profile and Facebook entirely, has been wiped:

DownDetector reported over 352,000 outages and online websites along with apps also appear to be affected.

As of right now there is no info as to why Facebook and Instagram are down but we will keep you updated.
