Netflix Is Remaking Matilda And Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and I’m So Excited
If you are a fan of Roald Dahl classics like I am, this news will totally excite you!
Netflix announced that they will be enlisting Taika Waititi in remaking Roald Dahl classics such as Matilda And Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.
They will be releasing them as a series and there will even be new stories from the Roald Dahl classics! And guess what? They will be animated!
Very Exciting Thing: Taika Waititi will write and direct Netflix’s first ~two~ Roald Dahl animated series events – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and a wholly original take on the Oompa-Loompas.

OH EM GEE! I am a HUGE Matilda fan and I can not wait to see what they come up with! It will be something I can watch with the kids and actually enjoy it! I hope it’s brilliant!
The animated series will be a brand new sort of thing! I’m pretty excited about all of this for being an adult. Then again, these are old stories that remain popular today.
Netflix said they will ‘remain faithful to the quintessential spirit and tone of Dahl while also building out an imaginative story universe that expands far beyond the pages of the books themselves’.
No release dates have been announced for any of the shows so far. I’m super excited to see what Taika Waititi does with these!
