‘Outer Banks’ Is The New Netflix Show That Is Basically ‘Gossip Girl’ Meets ‘Riverdale’ and I’m Addicted
There is a new show on Netflix, and OMG, y’all! I’m already obsessed.
It’s called Outer Banks, and it’s exactly the soapy teen drama you have been wanting to binge watch!
If you have been missing Gossip Girl, Riverdale, or even The Fosters or Degrassi Next Class, this will hit the spot nicely.
I’ll admit, I started watching Outer Banks, because I live in North Carolina, and have been to the Outer Banks many times. I know, that was a stupid reason to watch, but it is what it is. Ha!
This show isn’t what I expected at all — it is so much better!
I was hooked after the FIRST episode.
This show is about a group of teens — The Pogues — who live at the Outer Banks. They aren’t very popular, and they definitely aren’t part of the rich elite of the Outer Banks, but they have a secret.
John B is the leader of the Pogues, and his father just disappeared. Before he went missing, John B’s dad was obsessed with a treasure that is said to be buried in the Outer Banks.
This treasure is worth $400 million, and John B’s dad just happened to leave behind some pretty pertinent clues that he was able to amass before he disappeared.
Of course, the Pogues have to go on a hunt for the treasure, but they aren’t the only ones. The Kooks — the rich group of teens in the town — are also after the same treasure.
So there is a missing father, buried treasure, and of course, plenty of teenage angst and drama to go around.
You are so going to be obsessed with this show! It is such a guilty pleasure, and you are going to want to binge watch all 10 episodes in one sitting!
