Netflix’s New Drama Did Not Prepare Me For All The Feels And Now I’m Sobbing

So I’m scrolling through Netflix and thought to myself, “Hmm…what should I watch next?”

Sitting in the Netflix Top Ten was a movie called ‘2 Hearts’. I watched the little preview of it. It said it was based on a true story and looked like a heartfelt rom-com so I figured why not?

WRONG. I WAS VERY WRONG. I think I’m still sobbing a bit. This movie WRECKED me. In the best way possible, but still…

If you don’t like spoilers, this is all I will say: It is a great movie. Just don’t watch it if you aren’t in the crying mood. But for those ok with spoilers, keep reading!

This movie shows two different couples living two different lives, brought together through the medical miracle of organ transplants. The message behind this is phenomenal. It shows how many lives are impacted through organ donors.

BUT…the way they went about telling the story was both beautiful and heart-breaking.

They ended up showing what life would have been like, had the main character, a 19 year old boy, not died.

We got to see him get married, have a kid, become a firefighter, and live a great life.

That was the part of the movie that just HURT. He never got to grow up and have a family. He never even got to say goodbye. He was just…gone.

As much as my heart hurts right now, it was well worth watching.

So watch it, take the time to hug your loved ones, and sit down to have the conversation about one day donating organs to save lives.
