This sugary Christmas pre-cut cookie is baking tradition at its finest!! All you have to do is place them on your cookie sheet (or baking stone), and bake for 11 to 15 minutes. They are ready JUST before they turn golden brown.

I like them on the chewy side, so I always take them out a little early, and allow them to cool before I try to take them off the cookie sheet.

I speak from experience here — if you try to take them off the sheet early, they will wrinkle up, and the design won’t look as pretty.

Another fun tradition my family has is decorating them!! I make the super-simple cookies, and then let my kids go crazy with the frosting and sprinkles. They LOVE it, and look forward to it every year.
