Will students be going back to the classroom? Will there be staggered days? Will I keep my kid at home to do remote learning?

These are all valid, hard questions.

But, there are some schools that might have a legit answer to the student social distancing problem.

How? They are holding school outside. Yep. I’m not sure whether this is a genius idea, or if it going to be a complete disaster.

There are school districts that are buying flowering, edible plants, tree stumps, and carriage bolts. They are using these things to section off the different classes outside.

That way they can better social distance children. They are counting on the efficacy of the outdoors keeping the virus from being spread between people.

Well, now, what the HECK do they do if it is raining?

That is a little bit of a problem. In some cases, the children would have to come into the building — which might defeat the purpose?

In other cases, they are going to have tents or yurts set up outside, and the classes will be held in these shelters if it rains.

This outdoor learning idea comes from earlier pandemics, where students had to attend classes outdoors. It helped then, they are counting on it working again.

Of course there is also THIS little problem:

Schools that have spent millions of dollars in recent years to fortify their buildings with bulletproof glass to protect students from intruders might not be too keen to now put the children outside in the parking lot —
