But who knew that a simple friendship bracelet could turn into a romance…

Well, as it turns out. It did.

According to reports, Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, are dating and it’s all thanks to a single friendship bracelet.

Apparently, when Taylor Swift played Arrowhead Stadium in July, Travis Kelce said he gave Taylor a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. Um, GENIUS!

The Taylor Swift friendship bracelet trend started after being inspired by the very lyrics in her song “You’re on Your Own, Kid”. In the song, she sings about making friendship bracelets to connect with others. The popularity of that song let to a tradition of fans trading friendship bracelets at her concerts.

And that is exactly where Travis must have gotten the idea…
