Today Someone Called One Of My Writers a C*nt Because She Called The MCU The Marvel Comic Universe

I love my job, I love owning a website, and honestly I love writing about pop culture and all the things that happen every day.

But sometimes, sometimes I lose a little faith in humanity, like today when someone sent my Facebook page a message upset that one of the writers here at TTB called the MCU the Marvel Comic Universe instead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He was so upset about this that he called her a c*nt. Now I could have blocked him from my Facebook page and just kept on drinking my mid-morning coffee, but for some reason I wanted to know what else he had to say.

I did actually care, and was over in the article fixing it for him when he wrote me to let me know how I didn’t care.

He was right. That article did need fixing. And I shot back at him with a little tit for tat when I saw how this was going. That’s on me.

But it’s when his “filter went down” that things got interesting.

You see this is where it just got to be too much. It’s not a great idea to call a woman names ever, but there’s just something about this one that really grinds my gears.

Maybe Chris is right here. Maybe I should have just blocked him. But at this point I was invested.

How could I not be?

I don’t know, I have more faith in twitter than to ruin someone’s website over the fact that one of their writers called it the Marvel Comic Universe instead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. (And I will be honest, I hadn’t really ever even thought about what the ‘C’ stood for until today.)

And so, I just want to remind everyone out there in computer land that there are actual people behind these keyboards. Sure we make a living doing this, but a little grace and a little tact go a long way.

We promise that we are trying to do our best.

It’s never okay to call us a c*nt.
